The 111th Philadelphia Sports Writers Association Dinner is Friday, Jan. 16, at the Crowne Plaza in Cherry Hill.

The event is open to the public and tickets are available at the door.

Among the honored guests will be Hall of Famer Ryne Sandberg, Todd Frazier of the Cincinnati Reds, Kimmo Timonen and Charlie Manuel.

The annual Most Courageous Athlete Award will be presented. It often generates national attention.
